Blog Ring Featured Artist: Memories In Mosaic

Good Evening!

I'm finally back at home and able to sit down and look at all of the wonderful blogs. This week, I have the pleasure of featuring and fantastic Mosaic Artist: Christine Burgess. When you look at her blog and view her profile, I am sure you will be as shocked as I was when I found out she is a grandmother to seven. Seriously Christine - you look FABULOUS for 21!!

After looking all through her blog and finding out about her, I hopped on over to her Etsy store to find my favorite piece. Well folks - it's next to impossible to select just one!! However, I am in LOVE with this Little Angel Lazy Susan!! You will find that in all of her work, Christine uses the pique assiette (broken dish) style of mosaic so that she can use the every day items you might find in your cupboard. But you won't want to hide these great items in a cabinet! You will definitely want to showcase them!!

"When I create my pieces I keep in mind the colors, textures and balance of the design similar to what you might do in designing a room. I like to have a little "bling" in each one so I add jewelry to nearly all my pieces. This has become my signature."

Now, I think you will also be amazed to find out that Christine does all of this wonderful work while living with Fibromyalgia. If you don't know anything about this painful condition, please take some time to visit her OTHER blog for information:

Fibromyalgia is a common condition characterized by long-term, body-wide pain and tender points in joints, muscles, tendons, and other soft tissues. Fibromyalgia has also been linked to fatigue, morning stiffness, sleep problems, headaches, numbness in hands and feet, depression, and anxiety.

I'm so proud to know such a great artist and love that she doesn't let anything keep her down!! Check her out when you have a chance!!

God's Blessings!
